This book is a book  about a girl called Elise who is having problems in middle school.Her locker partner slams her lunch everyday,she has problems with turning in homework, and she and her best friend are not really getting along. Then, she has her 12th birthday and finds that her dead dad left her a key,a key that will unlock her past and herself.I like this story because it is reality and fantasy in one book,A thing that most books don't have.
